If you are going to be participating as a Home Station, you do NOT need a Bumblebee Number

 

How to Apply for a Flight of the Bumblebees (FOBB) Number

 

The Adventure Radio Society Flight of the Bumblebees is a four-hour event held annually on the Last Sunday in July.

It is open to all radio amateurs.

 

 

CONTEST PERIOD BY TIMEZONE (Local Time)

   1 p.m. to 5 p.m.   – Eastern

12 p.m. to 4 p.m. – Central

    11 a.m. to 3 p.m. – Mountain

10 a.m. to 2 p.m. – Pacific

   7 a.m. to 11 a.m. – Hawaii

 

If you plan to operate the FOBB as a portable – in other words, operate from a field location,

then you’re invited to request a Bumblebee Number.

 

Bumblebee Numbers Do Not Carry Over from Year to Year.

Each Year, participants must request a new Bumblebee Number to use for that Year

 

Bumblebee Numbers will be Sequentially Assigned.

There will not be any ability to request any specific number(s).

 

Bumblebee Numbers for the FOBB can be Requested

Starting One Month Before the FOBB

 

It is very easy to do.   Simply send an email to fobb-number@ars-qrp.com

Include your Name, Call Sign, and Description of your Intended Field Location

 

Then You Must Click On This Link To Find Your Assigned Bumblebee Number:

(Quicker during the last few days before the FOBB)

 

Bumblebee Number Requests will be accepted up until 2359 UTC on the Day Before the FOBB
